A shocking case related to popular South actors is coming to light. Telangana Police has registered a case against 25 film stars and social media personalities including Rana Daggubati, Vijay Deverakonda, Prakash Raj. This whole case is related to the allegation of promoting illegal betting apps, due to which an FIR has been registered against them.

The police have registered this FIR on the petition of 32-year-old businessman PM Phanindra Sharma. A complaint was lodged on his behalf on March 19.

Case has been registered against 25 actors and social media personalities including Rana Daggubati, Vijay Deverakonda, Prakash Raj for promoting illegal betting apps.

FIR registered at Miyapur police station

According to a News18 report, the FIR lodged by Phanindra Sharma at Miyapur police station in Hyderabad also includes the names of actors Ananya Nagalla, Pranitha Subhash, Srimukhi, Siri Hanumanth and Varshini Soundarajan. The complainant alleges that on March 16, he was interacting with people of his community.

During this, he came to know that many people were influenced to invest money in betting apps. For this, social media celebrities also advertised on a large scale.

The complainant further said that these film stars are allegedly taking huge amounts of money to promote different betting related platforms, which encourage users to play betting games with their hard-earned money.

According to the report, the complaint letter also states that he was also going to invest in any of these platforms earlier but was later warned by his family about the potential financial risk. After this he did not invest. Case registered under these sections

On the other hand, based on the complaint of Phanindra Sharma, Miyapur police has registered a case against the actors and social media personalities under TS Gaming Act and other sections of IT Act. Section 66 (D) of the Information Technology Act has also been included in this. Let us tell you that 66 (D) is related to identity theft and fraud.
