Salman Khan on 31-Year Age Gap With Rashmika in Sikandar: "If She Has No Problem, Why Do You?"

The much-awaited trailer of Salman Khan’s Eid release Sikandar was launched on Sunday. Like many of his past films, Salman will be seen romancing a younger actress, Rashmika Mandanna, in this action-packed entertainer. However, the 31-year age gap between the two has sparked discussions.

Salman Khan’s Witty Take on the Age Gap

At the film’s press event, Salman Khan addressed the topic with humor. He said, "If the heroine has no problem, and her father has no problem, then why do you?" His response left the audience in splits.

He further joked, "When she gets married and has a daughter, and if she becomes a big star, we will work together again. But we will definitely take her mother’s permission."

Salman Praises Rashmika’s Hard Work

Talking about Rashmika’s dedication, Salman was full of praise. He shared how Rashmika balanced shooting for both Pushpa 2 and Sikandar, often working through the night without a break. Even after suffering a leg injury, she continued filming without canceling a single shoot day. "She reminds me a lot of my younger self," Salman said.

Sikandar ’s Release Date & Cast

Sikandar is set to hit theatres on March 30, 2025, as an Eid release. Unlike the usual Friday release trend, Salman has opted for a Sunday premiere, similar to how Tiger 3 was released on Diwali in 2023.

Apart from Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, the film features Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi in key roles. Sikandar is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and promises to be a high-octane entertainer.
