Samay Raina ’s Viral Voice Note

A clip circulating on Twitter (now X) has gained traction, amassing nearly 9 lakh views. The voice note, supposedly a reply to a fan’s Instagram Story, has ignited further discussion. However, its authenticity remains unverified, and it’s unclear whether it is related to the current controversy or an older incident.

In the voice note, the comedian can be heard jokingly saying, "If you know someone who wants to shoot porn on our show, send them over. It’ll be great fun and break the Internet. That would be epic!"

‘Comedy is Comedy, Not a Moral Science Lecture’

Further in the audio, Samay Raina clarifies his stance on comedy, stating, "The purpose of comedy is not to give a moral science lecture. Comedy has no responsibility. It’s meant to take people away from reality and make them laugh." He explains that people have stress in their daily lives and watch comedy for entertainment, not for moral guidance.

‘ChatGPT Se Kara Lo Comedy’ – Raina’s Take on Censorship

In another clip, Samay Raina discusses how different people have different sensitivities, saying,
"Some people don’t want jokes about death, others about children, abortion, or depression. But if we start catering to all requests, then let ChatGPT do the comedy instead!" He emphasizes that comedy is meant for entertainment and should not be taken too seriously.

While the debate on comedic boundaries continues, Samay Raina’s voice note has sparked conversations on social media. Many support his view that comedy is for fun, while others believe comedians should be mindful of their content.

What’s your take? Should comedy have limits, or should it be completely unrestricted?
