Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane’s Sanam Teri Kasam is making a grand comeback in theatres almost a decade after its original release. While the film did not perform well at the box office initially, its re-release seems to be generating impressive numbers.

According to reports, Sanam Teri Kasam has sold over 20,000 tickets for its first day in top national chains during advance booking. Some sources, like Koimoi, suggest that the number could be as high as 39,000. These figures surpass some new releases, such as Loveyapa, indicating strong audience interest. With ticket prices kept in an affordable range, the film is expected to collect around ₹2 crore on its opening day.

Comparison with Other Releases

Meanwhile, Badass Ravi Kumar starring Himesh Reshammiya is projected to open at over ₹5 crore, while Loveyapa is estimated to earn between Rs.1–2 crore on its first day.

A Cult Favorite Returns

Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, Sanam Teri Kasam enjoys a loyal cult following, especially after gaining popularity on OTT platforms. The film is set to re-release on February 7, and fans are eager to relive the emotional romance on the big screen.

Can It Match Other Successful Re-Releases?

It remains to be seen whether Sanam Teri Kasam can replicate the success of re-released films like Laila Majnu and Tumbbad, which also struggled during their initial run but found new life later.
