Sankranthiki Vasthunam OTT Release: The action-comedy blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunam, starring Venkatesh Daggubati, continues its dream run at the box office. Since its January 14 release, the film has crossed Rs.150 crore in India and Rs.200 crore globally, making it one of the biggest hits of the year.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam OTT Release Pushed Back?

Initially, Zee5 had secured the digital streaming rights of the film for Rs.30 crore, with an OTT release planned for February 2025. However, due to the film’s ongoing theatrical success, producer Dil Raju is reportedly in talks to postpone the OTT release to maximize its earnings from cinemas.

Why the Delay?

The movie is still attracting large audiences, even grossing Rs.10 crore on its 13th day, proving its strong hold at the box office. Releasing the film on OTT too soon could impact its theatrical revenue, and the makers want to extend its big-screen success before bringing it to streaming platforms.

Star-Studded Success Party

To celebrate the film’s massive success, the makers hosted a grand success party, attended by big stars like Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar. The official handle of Sri Venkateswara Creations shared glimpses of the celebration, calling it a “blockbuster reunion”.
