Later, the gang took responsibility on social media, claiming the attack was revenge for remarks made by the actress’s sister Khushboo Patani against preachers Premananda Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya.
Security Assurance by CM Yogi
Following the incident, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath personally spoke to Disha Patani’s father and former DSP Jagdish Patni, assuring full security for the family. Police also scanned more than 2,500 CCTV footage to trace the attackers.
Breakthrough in the Case
Officials confirmed that the encounter will speed up the probe and help in cracking down on other members of the Goldy Brar–Rohit Godara gang network. More arrests are expected in the coming days.
