Sudha Murthy reveals Narayana Murthy’s First Meeting with her Father went Hilariously Wrong

On The Great Indian Kapil Show, Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy took the stage to share insights into their personal lives and love story. Sudha Murthy recalled Narayana's memorable first meeting with her father, which didn't go as planned. According to her, Narayana arrived two hours late due to a taxi breakdown, much to her father’s disappointment.

Sudha recounted, "He came late, and when my father asked about his plans, he mentioned wanting to join politics and open an orphanage. My father, who was very punctual, thought I was a prize since women in engineering were rare at that time, so Narayana arriving late wasn’t ideal."

Adding to the story, Narayana Murthy humorously admitted he didn’t mind that her father was upset. "I had a bit of a playful attitude then," he said. Reflecting on his first meeting with Sudha, he shared, "Meeting her was refreshing—she was positive, kind, and loved to talk. She needed a listener, so we both were happy."
