Super Mario Galaxy Movie Tops US Box Office, Becomes Highest-Grossing of 2026

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has emerged as the highest-grossing film of 2026 in the United States, continuing its strong run at the box office.

The animated sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie held the top position for the second consecutive week, earning $69 million over the weekend, according to Box Office Mojo. Its total domestic collection has crossed $308 million.

Project Hail Mary secured the second spot with $24.58 million over the weekend. The film, starring Ryan Gosling, has collected nearly $257 million in total so far.

The highest-grossing new release of the weekend was You, Me & Tuscany, which debuted at number four with $8 million. The film features Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page.

Among other films, The Drama took the third position with $8.707 million, while Hoppers ranked fifth with $4.1 million.
