Success of South Films
During the conversation, Tamannaah was asked how Bollywood films differ from those of the South, to which she responded, “The key difference I’ve noticed is that South films focus more on their geographical locations. I believe their content resonates globally because they tell original stories that are grounded in their culture.”
Essence of South Film Storytelling
Tamannaah elaborated further, explaining, “South films don’t cater to selective audiences; instead, they focus on telling stories connected to basic human emotions—whether it's about a mother, father, or other relatable family dynamics. They deliver these emotions through unique storytelling formats. What really stands out is how they are clear about their perspectives and are not trying to serve everyone; they just tell what they know best. This approach has been a game-changer for South cinema.”
Tamannaah's Take on Bollywood
While appreciating the South’s success, Tamannaah also mentioned that Bollywood films are often made to entertain a wide range of audiences, which doesn’t always work. She praised films like 'Laapataa Ladies,' acknowledging their fresh take on characters.
Reflecting on her own career, Tamannaah shared that she recently had a small role in John Abraham’s 'Veda' and appeared in 'Stree 2,' where her dance number was a major hit.
Tamannaah Bhatia's Work front
Tamannaah is set to appear in the Telugu film 'Odela 2' and the web series 'Daring Partners,' continuing her versatile journey across various industries.
