Actor Radhikaa Sarathkumar’s rural comedy drama Thaai Kizhavi is set to make its OTT debut on Jio Hotstar on April 10, following its successful theatrical run.
The film, which released in cinemas on February 27, emerged as a box office success, collecting over Rs 80 crore globally. According to trade estimates, its India net collection stands at over Rs 61.34 crore.
The streaming platform announced the release on its official social media handles, sharing a clip from the film.
Directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, the film features Radhikaa Sarathkumar in the lead role of Pavunuthaayi, a 70-year-old moneylender.
The story follows Pavunuthaayi, who faces pressure from her sons to divide and transfer her property. She refuses and decides to retain control of her wealth. The narrative shifts when she becomes paralysed and her sons return in the hope of inheriting her assets.
The cast also includes Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, and Ilavarasu in supporting roles.
Music for the film is composed by Nivas K Prasanna.
The film received positive response from audiences, with viewers describing it as a family entertainer and praising Radhikaa Sarathkumar’s performance.
