A Symphony of Inclusion

Krishna ’s music transcended barriers, making everyone feel included, not just invited. His performance was a testament to his belief that music should reach all, regardless of caste, creed, or identity. This inclusivity was evident in the diverse crowd that gathered to witness his artistry.

A Masterclass in Musical Brilliance

The concert began with Krishna ’s powerful rendition of Tyagaraja’s Karubaruseyuvaru, delving deep into the raga Mukhari. His interplay with violinist R.K. Shriramkumar during the Sahana alapana brought a playful and effervescent energy to the stage. As the evening unfolded, Krishna seamlessly navigated between ragas, from Begada to Khamas, and compositions, from Tyagaraja’s Padavi ni sadbhaktiyu kalgute to Swati Tirunal’s Pankajalochana.

The emotional depth of his performance was evident in his rendition of Perumal Murugan’s verses as a Viruttam in Karaharapriya, Varali, and Anandabhairavi. This deeply moving piece culminated in Suthanthiram vendum, a plea for freedom and human dignity, drawing thunderous applause.

TM Krishna ’s A Message of Compassion

Krishna ’s recital also paid homage to Narayana Guru’s Anukampa Dashakam, a poignant set of verses on compassion. His choice of ragas like Mayamalavagowla and Behag enriched the spiritual undertones of the evening. He concluded with a rare Marathi song, Dhava vibho karunakara madhava, immortalized by M.S. Subbulakshmi.

More Than Music

TM Krishna ’s artistry isn’t just about the notes he sings; it’s about the stories he tells and the humanity he embraces. As he closed the recital, the audience erupted in cheers, not just for his musical genius but for the message of inclusion and compassion he brought to life.

TM Krishna ’s concert was more than a performance—it was a reminder that music has the power to unite, heal, and inspire change.
