Album Delayed Due to LA Wildfires

Originally set for release on January 24, the album was postponed due to the wildfire crisis in Los Angeles. The Weeknd also showed his support by donating $1 million to relief efforts. Additionally, he canceled his album launch concert at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, which was scheduled for January 25.

Hurry Up Tomorrow features several hit singles, including:

“Dancing in the Flames”
“Timeless” ft. Playboi Carti (which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100)
“São Paulo” ft. Anitta
These tracks set the stage for an emotional and powerful conclusion to The Weeknd’s musical journey.

The Weeknd ’s Big-Screen Debut

Alongside the album, The Weeknd will make his movie debut in the psychological thriller Hurry Up Tomorrow, directed by Trey Edward Shults. The film also stars Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan and is set to release in theaters on May 16, distributed by Lionsgate.

The Weeknd, along with Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never), has also composed the film’s musical score, ensuring a unique connection between the movie and his music.

The End of a 14-Year Journey

This album marks the end of The Weeknd’s journey as an artist, which began in 2011 with his breakthrough mixtapes House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence. These projects were later combined into his iconic Trilogy album in 2012.

With Hurry Up Tomorrow, The Weeknd closes the final chapter of his career under this stage name. Fans can now stream the album and look forward to the upcoming film.
