Tiger 3 Roars at the Box Office: Salman Khan's biggest opener with Rs.44+ Crore on Day 1
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer "Tiger 3" made a roaring entry at the box office on its opening day, marking a significant success. The spy-thriller, directed by Maneesh Sharma, hit the screens on Diwali, and early reports on sacnilk.com reveal an impressive Day 1 collection of Rs. 44.5 crore in India.

'Tiger 3,' the latest and third installment in the Tiger franchise and a key component of the YRF Spy Universe alongside films like 'War' and 'Pathaan,' features Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. Emraan Hashmi plays the main antagonist, adding an extra layer of intensity to the narrative. The film also includes cameo appearances by Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan as Kabir.
'Tiger 3' has emerged as Salman Khan's most significant opener to date, surpassing the opening day collections of his previous hits like 'Bharat' (2019) and 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' (2015), both of which also released on Diwali.
For Katrina Kaif, 'Tiger 3' stands as her third-highest opener, following Vijay Krishna Acharya's 'Thugs of Hindostan' (2018) and 'Bharat,' where she starred alongside Salman Khan.
Tiger 3 advance booking vs opening
On its opening day, 'Tiger 3' raked in an impressive Rs. 44.5 crore across all languages, maintaining a solid 41.33 % occupancy for the Hindi version alone. The portal also tweeted, “Tiger 3 tomorrow advance is low considering big movie and festival holiday. Let's see, how much spot booking is going to happen.”
'Tiger 3' secured the third place in terms of advance bookings for its second day, grossing ₹17.48 crore.
Despite its strong position, the film trailed behind Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan,' which held the record for the highest second-day advance booking of the year with Rs. 32.10 crore, followed by 'Jawan' with Rs. 21.62 crore.
Work front
Salman Khan was last seen in action comedy film 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' along with Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh. On the other hand Katrina was seen in supernatural comedy film 'PhoneBhoot' along with Ishaan Khattar, and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Jackie Shroff.
