Tamil Cinema: Famous Tamil cinema actor and comedian S. Krishnamurthy died at the age of 71. He was also known as 'Madhavan Bob'. He was suffering from cancer taken his last breath on August 2 at his residence in Chennai. The Tamil film industry and fans are deeply saddened by his death. Tamil famous comedian and actor was born on 19 October 1953. He started his career as a musician and later stepped into acting. Famous for his unique style of comedy, gestures and eye expressions, Bob made his mark in supporting roles in Tamil cinema.

His film career began in 1984 with Balu Mahendra's film 'Neengal Kettavai', but his first major film was 'Vaanme Ellai'.

'Madhavan Bob' passed away

Prabhu Deva, who shared the screen with Madhavan, expressed his condolences. He shared a photo on the ex and wrote, "We shared the screen and his presence always brought joy to the sets. Cheerful, kind and full of humour, he made everyone around him feel happy. Heartfelt condolences to his family. He will always be remembered."

Actor filmy career journey

Madhavan Bob has acted in more than 700 films, including films like 'Thenali' (Diamond Babu), 'Pammal K. Sambandam', 'Friends' (Manager Sundareswaran) and 'Sathi Leelavathi'. He has worked with stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith Kumar, Surya and Vijay. His style of comedy was well liked by the audience, which gave a funny touch even to films with serious themes. Apart from Tamil, he has also worked in two Malayalam and one Hindi film.

Madhavan Bob has acted in more than 700 films

Madhavan Bob's contribution in the field of music was also remarkable. He learned Western classical and Carnatic music from gurus like Vikku Vinayakram and Harihar Sharma. He also appeared as a judge in Sun TV's popular show 'Asathapovathu Yaaru'.

South India famous actor Prabhu Deva, saddened by his death, the actor posted on the social media platform  and expressed his condolences, saying, " Madhavan Bob presence always brought on the film set. We have shared the screen many times, he was cheerful, humble and a wonderful person. He kept the atmosphere cheerful. My condolences to his family. He will always be remembered.
