In a recent interview, veteran actor Paresh Rawal confirmed that Kartik Aaryan was initially signed for Hera Pheri 3. However, he clarified that Kartik was not playing Akshay Kumar’s iconic character, Raju. Instead, the story was completely different at that time. As the script changed, Kartik was no longer part of the project.

Paresh Rawal’s Disappointment with Phir Hera Pheri
Paresh Rawal also reflected on Phir Hera Pheri and admitted that the film did not meet expectations. He explained that while the original Hera Pheri had simplicity, the sequel was overstuffed with unnecessary elements. He expressed that overconfidence led to the film losing its charm.
Baburao ’s Popularity and Future Possibilities
Paresh Rawal acknowledged the immense popularity of his character, Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. He stated that Baburao holds a goodwill value of ₹500 crore, and simply repeating old jokes in a new setting would not work. Instead, he believes fans want to see Baburao in an entirely fresh storyline.
