"Thank you, producer Dhanush. I must apologize to him because he didn’t like my performance in the film. I’m sorry for disappointing you, Dhanush. I’ll do better next time."

Though the letter didn’t directly name Dhanush, fans speculated it was a response to their unresolved tensions.
