The Scene That Sparked the Discussion
In Kick, Saurabh played the role of Jacqueline Fernandez’s father, an Indian ambassador. In one particular scene, his character meets Salman Khan’s character, Devi Lal Singh, for the first time. During their conversation, Salman’s character asks about his salary and savings, which catches Saurabh’s character off guard. Naturally, Saurabh portrayed a shocked reaction in the scene.
Assistant’s Suggestion and Salman’s Response
After the scene was filmed, one of Salman Khan’s assistants approached Saurabh and suggested that he change his reaction to look scared instead. The assistant believed that Salman might not like the original reaction. However, Saurabh felt that his initial response was more natural and appropriate for the scene.
When Salman Khan heard about the situation, he immediately called his assistant and asked him not to disturb Saurabh. The superstar assured him that his performance was perfect and did not need any changes.

Reflecting on the incident, Saurabh pointed out how people around a celebrity often make decisions on their behalf, sometimes creating unnecessary misunderstandings. He emphasized that while Salman himself was fine with the performance, others in his team assumed otherwise.

Saurabh Shukla was last seen in Bhediya and is set to reprise his role as Justice Sunderlal Tripathi in the third installment of the Jolly LLB franchise alongside Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. Meanwhile, Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, scheduled for Eid 2025.
