Alyy Khan Reveals What Happened on Set
British-Pakistani actor Alyy Khan, who was part of Don 2, shared an incident from the shoot in Berlin. He said that during a car stunt scene, Shah Rukh was behind the wheel while Farhan Akhtar, the director, was hiding in the backseat to avoid being seen on camera.
The scene involved Priyanka Chopra arriving in her car. Shah Rukh was supposed to deliver his famous line, “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, naamumkin hai,” and then drive off. The first take went perfectly, but during the second take, things didn’t go as planned.
Small Delay Caused a Big Loss
While filming the second shot, Shah Rukh was just a few seconds late in making a left turn. Because of this delay, another stunt car crashed directly into them. Although no one was hurt, the camera equipment worth Rs 2.5 crore (about €300,000) was completely damaged.
Shah Rukh Khan ’s Honest Confession
Shah Rukh quickly checked if Alyy Khan was okay and took responsibility for the accident. In a behind-the-scenes video, he openly said, “Maybe I was overconfident, but I just went wrong, and bam! It was very embarrassing, one of the most embarrassing times I’ve had on a film shoot.”
Don 2 Was Still a Massive Hit
Despite the costly mistake, Don 2 turned out to be a big success. The movie was made with a budget of Rs 76 crore and earned Rs 210.35 crore worldwide. It was produced by Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
