Why BeerBiceps’ Ranveer Allahbadia Is Facing Backlash Online?
Popular YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, known for his BeerBiceps channel, is facing heavy criticism after a remark he made on comedian Samay Raina's reality show, India’s Got Latent.
During the show, which featured well-known content creators like Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid), Ranveer posed an inappropriate question to a contestant. A clip of his remark quickly went viral, sparking outrage on social media.
Public Outrage and Criticism
Several social media users condemned Ranveer Allahbadia’s question, calling it inappropriate and distasteful. Many felt that such content should not be available to young audiences.
Veteran journalist and lyricist Neelesh Misra strongly criticized the creators for normalizing such content, calling them "perverted creators shaping India's creative economy." He also pointed out that such shows, despite their mature themes, are easily accessible to children due to social media algorithms.
“Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life — or would you join in once and stop it forever?”
Meet the perverted creators who are shaping our country’s creative economy. I am sure each one has a following of millions.

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate also reacted to the controversy, stating that this was not creativity but perversion. She added that the audience's reaction—cheering and laughing—was deeply concerning.
This isn’t creative. It’s pervert.
And we can’t normalise perverse behaviour as cool. The fact that this sick comment met loud applause must worry us all. https://t.co/tZQNnZuIhF

Calls for Action Against Such Content
Several users demanded action from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, urging Ashwini Vaishnaw to regulate such content. One user pointed out that such remarks could negatively impact young audiences who consume this content online.
Others expressed disappointment in Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan for inviting Samay Raina, Tanmay Bhat, Bhuvan Bam, and Kamiya Jani to Kaun Banega Crorepati, questioning the platform given to such creators.
Ranveer Allahbadia ’s Response
As of now, Ranveer Allahbadia has not responded to the backlash or addressed the controversy surrounding his remark.
Previous Controversies of India’s Got Latent
This is not the first time India’s Got Latent has faced controversy. Last week, a case was reportedly filed against a contestant from Arunachal Pradesh over a comment on dog meat consumption, further fueling debates over the show’s content.
The controversy has reignited discussions about content responsibility on social media and whether shock value is being prioritized over decency in the digital entertainment space.
