Who is Jyoti Malhotra?

Jyoti Malhotra, a travel vlogger running the channel "Travel with Jo", is one of the main accused. In 2023, she went to Pakistan on a visa arranged through commission agents. During this trip, she got close to a man named Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, who worked at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi.

Danish later connected her with several Pakistani Intelligence Officers. Through platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat, she stayed in contact and allegedly shared sensitive Indian information. She also promoted a positive image of Pakistan on her social media.

More Shocking Details

Authorities claim Jyoti had a romantic relationship with one of the spies and even went to Bali, Indonesia with him. She’s now facing charges under India’s new criminal law (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) and the Official Secrets Act. She has also confessed to her crimes.

Another Accused: Guzala from Punjab

Another key suspect is Guzala, a 32-year-old widow from Malerkotla, Punjab. She met Danish at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi while applying for a visa. He convinced her to talk through Telegram and built a fake romantic relationship.

He sent her money and asked her to send small amounts to different people. Later, she went to the High Commission again with her friend, Banu Nasreena, who also got involved.

More People Caught

Others arrested include:

Yameen Mohd from Malerkotla – helped with finances and visas.

Devinder Singh Dhillon from Kaithal, Haryana – a Sikh student who was recruited during a Pakistan pilgrimage and shared videos of a military area.

Arman from Nuh, Haryana – supplied SIM cards, transferred money, and went to a defence expo on instructions from Pakistan.

Emotional Traps and False Promises

Officials say that Pakistani agents targeted emotionally and financially vulnerable people. They used love, fake marriage promises, and money to manipulate them into becoming spies.

The investigation is still going on, and more details are expected soon.
