Himachal has been witnessing continuous danger caused by rainfall and soil erosion. Whether it's Kullu or Shimla, Himachal Pradesh has been living in constant terror caused by heavy rainfall over the past weeks.

As per recent reports, as many as 7 buildings have collapsed in the Kullu district. The collapse was triggered by heavy rainfall, which caused landslides and cracks in the buildings.

In a recent video, 7 buildings collapsed at once in Kullu near the bus stand. These buildings developed cracks due to heavy rainfall and were already vacated 3 days ago.

Continuous heavy rainfall and new instances of landslides have resulted in the deaths of an additional 13 individuals across Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red and orange alerts in both states due to these conditions.

The relentless downpours have led to cloudbursts and landslides, causing 12 casualties in Himachal Pradesh and an additional fatality in Uttarakhand's Pauri district on Wednesday. Authorities have reported that over 400 roads are now blocked, and multiple homes have sustained damage.

The IMD has issued a red alert warning in 6 districts for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan, and Sirmaur districts.

While a moderate-to-high flash flood warning has been issued for Shimla, Sirmaur, Kangra, Chamba, Mandi, Hamirpur, Solan, Bilaspur, and Kullu.

Even roads have become non-operational, according to the data from the state emergency operation center. National Highway 21 (Mandi-Kullu road) and NH 154 (Mandi-Pathankot) have been affected by the weather.

According to reports, more than 700 roads have become out of service.

Rain-related events have claimed the lives of 120 individuals in Himachal Pradesh during this month alone. Since the monsoon began on June 24 in the state, a combined total of 238 individuals have lost their lives, with 40 individuals still unaccounted for.

Many other houses have developed cracks, and thus families are being told to vacate the houses.
