Hurricane Idalia left destruction in Florida, Georgia and Carolina
Hurricane Idalia first hit the land in Florida 2 days ago on the west coast of Florida where it kept causing continuous destruction. When it hit the landfalls in Florida it was a dangerous Category 3 storm.
According to reports, 2,00,000 people are suffering from electricity cut as the Hurricane cause the tress to fell down and those trees brought electricity lines with them. Even streets were submerged in Water from the coasts. Water flooded buildings near coasts. As the center of the storm called the eye moved inwards, destruction was increased with signboards falling and rooftops broken.
Initial landfall in Florida caused damage, followed by northeast impact on Georgia and South Carolina.
In North Carolina, an abundance of rainfall resulted in widespread flooding, posing significant challenges for the local population. Despite the diligent efforts of numerous utility linemen who were working tirelessly to restore power, a substantial portion of the affected regions, remained without electricity. As the hurricane gradually moved away from the US coastline, it set its course towards Bermuda, raising concerns about the potential for heavy rainfall and associated threats on the island.
Meanwhile, residents bravely returned to their devastated communities, where their primary focus was on clearing debris and salvaging whatever belongings they could amidst the wreckage. Tragically, there were distressing reports of hurricane-related fatalities and accidents occurring in various locations.
In response to the disaster caused by hurricane, Florida's Governor, Ron DeSantis, undertook a tour of the affected areas, while President Joe Biden made a commitment to provide federal assistance. Furthermore, President Biden also announced his intention to visit Hurricane hit Florida personally in order to assess the extent of the damage and to appeal to Congress for $12 billion in emergency funding to support natural disaster response efforts.
