President Emmanuel Macron of France has extended
an invitation to the prime minister to attend the Bastille Day parade as the guest of honour. On July 13 and 14,
Prime Minister Modi will visit France.


On Friday (July 13),
the Prime Minister will be the featured guest at the annual Bastille Day Parade
which will feature a 269-strong Indian tri-service contingent.

In addition to French
fighter planes, the Indian Air Force (IAF) will send three Rafale planes to
participate in the flypast.




President Emmanuel Macron

Following his trip to

During PM Modi’s visit,
an agreement to purchase 26 Rafale M naval fighters and three more Scorpene
submarines from France is anticipated.


Twenty-two
single-seater Rafale M aircraft and four double-seater Rafale M trainer
aircraft would be included in the negotiations, with a total value of almost Rs
90,000 crore. 


The three new submarines are expected to form a part of the
Scorpene agreement under Project 75, according to senior government sources.
