The Guru Granth Sahib Gurudwara of Glosgow, Scotland has released an official statement condemning what occurred on September 29. The Indian High commissioner was interrupted by Sikh extremists from entering the Gurudwara.

Indian High commissioner Doraiswami and Indian Consular general  visited the Gurudwara where a planned interaction with the Gurudwara committee was scheduled to take place. Three people from across Scotland tried disrupting their visit which later resulted in the officials exiting the premise. One of the disruptors even tried escalating the situation when he violently tried opening the door of the car of the Indian Officials. One of the members from the organizers who managed to stop the situation from getting violent by interrupting in between.

The official statement of the Gurudwara read "Glasgow Gurdwara strongly condemns such disorderly behavior to disrupt the peaceful proceedings of a Sikh place of worship. The Gurdwara is open to people from all communities and backgrounds, and We welcome everyone openly as per our principles of faith."

On September 30, the minister Anne-Marie Trevelyan, who is also a member of Parliament took to twitter to express her disappointment with the incident.  She said "Concerned to see that the Indian High Commissioner Doraiswami was stopped from meeting with the Gurudwara Committee at the Gurudwara in Glasgow. The safety and security of foreign diplomats is of utmost importance and our places of worship in the UK must be open to all."

Apart from this India released a forma statement condemning the act. The statement read "One of the non-local extremist elements attempted to violently force open the HC's cardoor - a matter that will require suitable police consideration. It is due to the quick reaction of one of the organizers, who physically intervened at the car door, that a
bigger incident was avoided. The High Commission of India has reported this disgraceful incident to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the Metropolitan Police. Multiple: community organizations including the organizers have formally regretted the incident and have urged the authorities to take action against the culprits."

Two of the three extremists who interrupted  Indian Officials as identified as Shamsher Singh and Ranvir Singh.

This incidents comes as India- Canada relations over Khalistan issue is still maintain its heat.
