Goa nightclub fire: Action continues in the Goa nightclub fire case, where 25 people died. The Luthra brothers, owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, were brought to Goa on Tuesday after being deported from Thailand. The two brothers had been on the run for 10 days after the incident. The Luthra brothers face charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and negligence in connection with the fire that broke out on December 6. While seeking transit remand in the Delhi court, the police stated, "The Luthras were the main owners of the nightclub and 'had complete control over the operations, security arrangements, permissions, and events taking place on the premises.'"Summary
Four tourists and 21 employees died in the fire that broke out at the nightclub in Arpora, North Goa, on the night of December 6. The two brothers fled to Phuket before the fire was extinguished.
