'GOAT' Box Office Collection Day 1: Thalapathy Vijay's Film Earns Rs 43 Crore in India, trails behind Leo's Opening Day
'GOAT' Box Office Collection Day 1: Thalapathy Vijay's latest film, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), had a strong start at the box office, collecting Rs 43 crore in India on its first day. Despite the impressive figures, the film fell short of Vijay’s previous blockbuster Leo, which made Rs 64.8 crore on its opening day.
The majority of GOAT's earnings came from Tamil shows, which contributed Rs 38.3 crore. Meanwhile, its Telugu version made Rs 3 crore, and the Hindi version collected Rs 1.7 crore, according to the trade portal Sacnilk.

Interestingly, Thalapathy Is The Goat, the Hindi version, was not released in major multiplex chains such as PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis due to the producers not following the 8-week gap rule between theatrical release and OTT premiere. This impacted the film’s Hindi box office collections, especially in North India.
The movie opened to mixed reviews. While many fans praised Thalapathy Vijay’s double role and performance, others criticized the film’s weak plot. Despite this, the film is expected to maintain decent momentum at the box office in the coming days.
