India scored its third gold medal in the ongoing Asia games in the sporting event of Equestrian, with the Equestrian team achieving the top spot in the dressage event. This remarkable accomplishment is the result of the combined efforts of Anush Agarwalla, Hriday Chheda, Divyakriti Singh, Sudipti Hajela, and their respective equine partners, culminating in a total score of 209.205. India's victory in this event marks a historic moment, as it's the nation's first gold medal in Equestrian sports in four decades, with the previous win dating back to the 1982 New Delhi Games when Raghubir Singh secured gold in eventing individual. Additionally, the most recent medal in dressage, a bronze, was claimed during the 1986 edition.

The Indian Equestrian team staged an impressive comeback after initially slipping to third place in the competition, allowing China and Hong Kong to lead the way. Anush and his horse, Etro, played a pivotal role by achieving a score of 71.088, securing the second position in the individual rankings. With stellar performances from the rest of the team, India ultimately seized the top position and emerged as champions after a 10-hour contest. Chheda and Emerald achieved a score of 69.941, Divyakriti and Adrenalin Firdod earned 68.176, while Sudipti and Chinski secured 66.706, bringing an end to India's quest for gold on the third day of the Games.

Dressage, often referred to as the captivating art of 'dancing horses,' is universally acknowledged as the most demanding and artistic discipline within Olympic equestrian sports. In this discipline, both riders and horses execute meticulously choreographed sequences of movements, encompassing walking, trotting, and cantering, all performed entirely from memory. A panel of judges situated around the arena assigns scores to these movements, typically on a scale from 0 to 10, which are subsequently converted into a percentage-based score. These intricate movements include the passage, piaffe, pirouette, and half pass.

The competition for both team and individual medals unfolds over three rounds within a rectangular arena measuring 60 meters by 20 meters. Each team comprises three athletes, and the collective scores determine the team's overall performance. If necessary, substitutions can be made for medical or veterinary reasons.\
