On Wednesday, Chief
Minister Bhupendra Patel, who is on a two-day tour to tribal parts of the Narmada
district, stayed at a local villager’s home in Javali, a forest village on the
Maharashtra-Gujarat border in Sagbara taluka.

After arriving at the
specially built helipad, Patel met tribals and social activists in the village
and had dinner with a tribal family.

Javali residences were
decorated with Asopalav plant garlands to indicate a “auspicious
welcome” for the CM, district administration sources stated.

Since mid-June, when he
was supposed to attend the Shala Praveshotsav, the village had become a
fortress with numerous officials camping overnight with Patel. Local BJP
leaders alleged Cyclone Biparjoy cancelled the function.

Patel met with rural
sevaks, Talati, teachers, and fair-price grain dealers, according to a
government release. He met with health workers at the village’s health and
wellness centre and Anganwadi-Nandghar, where the children were asked to meet
the CM in the evening.

Patel also went to the
National Tuberculosis Eradication Programme’s state-of-the-art mobile digital
X-Ray van, which was on the grounds of the health and leisure centre. “The
chief minister gave a person with tuberculosis a diet kit. He asked his
patients to take care of their health by eating healthy food on a daily basis,
the statement said.

Patel went to the home
of Arvindbhai Vasava, a local tribal, to find out if his family was taking
advantage of government programmes and other services for tribals, like water,
health care, and schooling.

According to the
report, the chief minister engaged in some heartfelt dialogue with the locals.
He also went to the home of a local woman named Kalawati Valvi to find out how
badly Cyclone Biparjoy had affected her crops. “The village and the farm
were spared and there was no damage,” Kalawatiben said, praising the
government’s preparations and foresight.

Patel ate with a tribal
family and talked to the locals and schoolchildren. According to the press
release: As the Gujarati chief minister put it, “The nine years of good
governance under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi have resulted in the
achievement of programmes for the well-being of underprivileged people and
tribal people across the country, especially in the state of Gujarat.”

In Sagbara taluka,
where there are 38 government-approved fair price stores, the food security
card assists 89,00 people from 18,025.

Patel enquired in the
Panchayat Ghar about the e-Gram Vishwagram’s implementation of the village’s
educational infrastructure, library, and health centre. The CM was joined by
District Collector of Narmada Shweta Teotia and other local officials for the
evening aarti at the village’s Hanuman temple.
