Jitesh Hinhoria, a chemical engineer and former employee of a pharmaceutical company, is charged with possessing 23000 litres of chemicals used to manufacture illegal substances like cocaine, mephedrone, and ketamine.

Authorities claim that a factory in Paithan called Mahalakshmi Industries was engaged in the production of the hallucinogens mephedrone and ketamine.

Following the high-stakes joint operation, the site included 4.5kg of mephedrone, 4.3kg of ketamine, and another batch containing 9.3kg of mephedrone.

The total value of the haul of medicines, unprocessed chemicals, and narcotics was reportedly more than 500 crore on the black market.

Additionally, during the search of one of the accused's home property, roughly 23 kg of cocaine, about 2.9 kg of mephedrone, and Rs.30 lakh in cash were found.

In accordance with the Times of India story, Hinhoria purportedly had 1.5 years of experience in the drug manufacturing industry.

Additionally, he developed his secret business at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The investigation also stated that the engineer had previously distributed various drugs in Ratlam, Indore, Delhi, Chennai, and Surat in addition to cocaine in Mumbai
