Gujaratis loose around 1 crore daily by Cyber crime

Talking about the numbers, the information which is being provided by the Cyber Crime department, they stated that their helpline no. received around 8,731 calls related to the financial fraud of around 46.63 crores in the 1st 40 days of the new year till date, in Gujarat. The Cyber crime department also said that their is around 11% rise in the Monetary Cyber frauds in the past 3 years from 2020-2022.
Talking about the Gujarat Cyber Crime department, they have claimed that they are all set in order to nab such gangs involved in crimes. Talking about the exact numbers, Gujaratis have lost around 1.16 crores per day and in the last 40 days of 2023, their has been the total lost of 46.63 crores till date.
Stating about the issue of Gujaratis being the soft target of the criminals, CID Crime officials said, “We received around 1,000 calls per day on our helpline no. 1930, in the 1st 40 days of 2023, and we have registered 8,731 calls relating the finance frauds. The no. of calls till date received are around 46,845 calls.
DSP BM Tank of Cyber cell stated that they always try their best to tighten the screws of the frauds, but the criminals having the criminal mindset always find the new modes in order to cheat public’s hard earned money.
