Female Cheetah from Namibia dies in India's Kuno National Park, Know the reason behind it

A four-and-a-half-year-old Cheetah relocated from Namibia to Kuno National Park in September 2022, passed away on Monday, the forest officials informed. 

The officials said that the four-and-a-half-year-old female Cheetah was suffering from Kidney issues and died due to the same reasons.

She was among eight animals which were brought from Namibia to India in September of the previous year.

Shasha was suffering from Kidney disorder: 

Shasha, the female Cheetah who lost her life due to kidney issues, but according to the officials she was contracted with a renal infection, which is basically common among animals, and was undergoing treatment at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh.


MP’s forest department claimed that Sasha was suffering from a kidney disease before her translocation. As per the statement, officials first found out about her ill health on 22 January, when she was evidently “lethargic.” It added that Sasha was examined by three veterinarians, who found that she needed treatment and was brought to the quarantine enclosure on the same day.
