GBN Police commissionerate organized a Mission Shakti awareness session
The Police Commissioner of Gautam Buddh Nagar, Mrs. Laxmi Singh initiated a one more program for women welfare and safety. Under her direction Gautam Buddh Nagar Police commissionerate organized a Mission Shakti session in a school.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Noida, Shakti Mohan Awasthi under his supervision, an awareness program was organized by ACP-2, Central Noida, at a School in Bisrakh, on October 17, 2025.
The school's teachers, students, and staff enthusiastically participated in the program
ACP-2, Mrs. Diksha Singh, provided detailed information about the role of the Mission Shakti Center, established under Mission Shakti Phase 5, and the services it provides for the safety, assistance, counseling, and prompt grievance redressal of women and children.
She informed the attendees about the police station's functioning, the Women's Help Desk, the Women's Helpline (1090), the Emergency Service (112), and important police helpline numbers such as Cyber Helpline (1930), and also raised awareness about laws related to cyber fraud, online harassment, and harassment of women. Pamphlets related to Mission Shakti were also distributed, containing useful information on women's safety, self-defense, cybercrime, and police support services.
ACP-2, Mrs. Diksha Singh, also stated that the government is implementing various welfare schemes for the safety and empowerment of women, girls, and children—such as the Mahila Shakti Kendra Scheme, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, One Stop Centers, and Self-Defense Training Programs—and ensuring that the benefits of these programs reach every citizen is the primary objective of the Mission Shakti campaign.
At the end of the program, the school's teachers and students appreciated the police's continued efforts toward women's safety and expressed their desire to participate in such awareness campaigns in the future.
