Cricket teams of India-Pakistan are scheduled to face each other on ground today, October 14 at 2 PM at Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Security Arrangements 

India-Pakistan match in Ahmedabad is said to bring millions of viewership and large number of spectators. The rivalry is old and yet fresh. The rivalry surpasses not just love for the game, but also love for the country and therefore it is the biggest match in the world cup before final.

Administration has made strict security arrangements for this big game. more than 11,000 security personnel are said to be deployed In Ahmedabad to avoid any kind of mishap.  These security personnel are from various security forces such as Gujarat Police, NSG, RAF, and home guard.

Although the city has never witnessed mishaps regarding matches before, but still the administration is on its toes to avoid any kind of mishap and therefore, Ahmedabad Commissioner of Police G S Malik said that the security forces will be deployed in communally sensitive areas.

These security arrangements are made to ensure the safety and well being of the 1 lakh spectators who will be present at the venue and amidst a recent security threat.  GS Malik said "Along with more than 7,000 police personnel, we will deploy nearly 4,000 home guards to secure the stadium and to maintain law and order in communally sensitive areas of the city during the match. In addition to these personnel, we will deploy three 'hit teams' and one anti-drone team of the NSG. Nine teams of our bomb detection and disposal squad will also be utilised."

Pre-match Ceremony

Arijit Singh, Shankar Mahadevan and Sukhwinder Singh are set to perform today . The event is set start at 12:30. Ranveer Singh and Tamannah Bhatia are also expected to perform at the event.
