The president stated that prior to fighting against America, he read a biography of one of the greatest personalities, he is none other than one of the most powerful kings of India Maharana Pratap. President further stated that it was his biography out of which they received the courage and the War policy to face their enemies and win against them.
When asked about Maharana Pratap by the Journalist, the president said “He was the king of Mewar, In India Maharana Pratap Singh” He further stated that, if a warrior like him would have taken birth in Vietnam then they definitely would be ruling all over the world. This was the only inspiration they had while facing America in the war, And hence, The rest is the history of how this small country with all inspiration from Maharana Pratap defeated America.
The story doesn’t end here, after the death of Vietnam’s president, look what he preferred to right on his grave, “This is a grave of a student of Maharana Pratap.” This is how he was affected by one of the most precious jewels the country lost in one of the wars fought by him.
Recently when Vietnam’s Foreign Minister was on an official tour in India, he first paid his visit t ‘Laal Kila’, and then went o see the grave of Mahatma Gandhi, after which the foreign minister asked about the gave of Maharana Pratap Singh.
o asking about Maharana’s grave, Indian Ministers took him to Udaipur where it is being cremated, in visiting the grave of Maharana Pratap, Foreign Minister made sure to carry a hand full of Mud from the surrounding the grave with him. When asked by a journalist about his actions he stated, “this is the mud where such a great personality was born, and I will mix till mud with the mud of my country, so that man more great personalities are born in my country too.”
