[Robbinsville, New Jersey] -- On October 2, 2023, at the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in Robbinsville, New Jersey, a historic diksha din ceremony took place where 30 American-born youths were initiated as Hindu Swamis by HH Mahant Swami Maharaj. International Day of Non-Violence honors the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi, a leader who championed non-violent resistance in the successful efforts for India's independence.
