Saudi Arabian Prime Minister and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud is on a three-day visit to India, which extends beyond the G20 Summit. During this visit, he is expected to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Delhi for the 18th G20 Leaders' Summit. He is scheduled to receive a ceremonial reception at Rastrapati Bhawan in New Delhi at 10 a.m. Following this, he will have a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House.

At around noon, it is anticipated that the Saudi Crown Prince will sign the minutes of the first meeting of the India-Saudi Strategic Partnership Council at the same venue. Later in the day, he is scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will depart from New Delhi around 8:30 pm, concluding his state visit.

This marks his second state visit to India, with his previous visit taking place in February 2019. The visit coincides with the G20 Summit, where significant developments have already occurred. On Saturday, India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the European Union announced a historic agreement to launch a mega India-Middle East-Europe shipping and railway connectivity corridor.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement during the G20 Summit, flanked by US President Joe Biden, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and leaders from the EU. This project represents a historic and unprecedented initiative on connectivity and infrastructure cooperation involving India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the EU, France, Italy, Germany, and the United States.

The corridor is expected to provide a sustainable direction to connectivity and sustainability worldwide, aligning with the Vision 2030 initiative by Saudi Arabia to diversify the country economically, socially, and culturally.

In conjunction with the G20 Leader's Summit, Saudi Arabia hosted a three-day event titled 'Media Oasis' in New Delhi from September 9 to 11. This event showcased Saudi Arabia's leading projects in tourism, entertainment, technology, culture, and sports, emphasizing the Vision 2030 initiative. It was organized by the Saudi Ministry of Media in collaboration with various Saudi ministries and organizations.

India and Saudi Arabia share cordial relations with deep economic and socio-cultural ties. Saudi Arabia is India's fourth-largest trading partner, with over 18 percent of India's crude oil imports originating from the country. The establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations dates back to 1947, and high-level visits have been a consistent feature of their bilateral engagement.
