The International Cricket Council (ICC) will award India $2 million as prize money for ranking as runners-up in the World Cup 2023. They will receive additional compensation for their group-stage victories.

The ICC would award India $2 million in prize money if they finished second in the World Cup 2023. They were defeated in the final by a dominant Australian team, their only defeat of the tournament. Before that, the Rohit Sharma-led team had won 10 consecutive games, including a semi-final victory over New Zealand.
