At 4:00 a.m., Shah
arrived in Ahmedabad to take part in the Mangla Aarti.

After 72 years, new
chariots for the Bhagwan Jagannathji Rath Yatra have been constructed. In 1950,
the first raths were constructed. On Sunday, the Nandighosh Rath of Bhagwan
Jagannathji was put to the test. The test was conducted by moving the rath in and
out and back and forth. No problems were noted during the trial. Similar to the
Rath of Jagannath Puri, efforts are made to construct the Rath. It utilises the
same colours as the Rath of Jagannath Puri. The Rath’s front section is made
larger.

This year marks the
first time that 3D mapping would be used to keep an eye on the whole Rath Yatra
path in Gujarat, including the Nijmandir and other key locations. Police should
try out this 3D mapping, as proposed by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, on
future Yatras.

For the Rath Yatra of
Ahmedabad, a total of 26091 police officers and employees, including a paramilitary force, will be deployed. 94 surveillance cameras will monitor 45
vulnerable locations. In addition, the personnel carrying 2,322 body-worn
cameras and the 25 vehicles following the yatra will be outfitted with CCTV and
GPS systems to collect real-time information about the yatra.

To acquaint the police
officers with the Rath Yatra route, area familiarisation patrols are conducted.
There have been 3,732-foot patrols conducted in accordance with area dominance
in order to make the police presence felt in that area. Additionally, 32
missions of drone surveillance have been performed to track sensitive areas.
Additionally, 250 dhaba sites and 25 watchtowers have been constructed.
