India secured its spot in the World Cup final by defeating South Africa with a three-wicket victory in the second semi-final held at Kolkata's Eden Gardens. The Indian team has displayed a remarkable performance throughout the tournament, remaining unbeaten in every game played so far.

The Indian Air Force's Suryakiran aerobatic team is scheduled to perform a flypast at the Narendra Modi Stadium ahead of the World Cup final match.

After a tense semifinal victory, Australia is eagerly anticipating the World Cup final clash against India in Ahmedabad on Sunday, according to captain Pat Cummins.

Reflecting on the nerve-wracking experience, Cummins stated, "Easier than sitting in the dugout. Nerve-wracking couple of hours but great effort and a great game."

Addressing the upcoming final against India, Cummins acknowledged the expected overwhelming support for the hosts, saying, "The stadium is going to be packed, pretty one-sided but got to embrace it. The good thing is a few of us have been there for finals before. The 2015 World Cup was a career highlight, so to be out there in a final in India, can't wait."

Cummins also shared insights into their strategy, noting, "We thought it would spin quite a bit. Wasn't expecting Starcy and Josh to bowl so much early. Bit gloomy, swinging around so wasn't too upset."
