IND vs AUS: Singapore envoy wishes Team India success ahead of World Cup Final

Simon Wong, Singapore's High Commissioner to India, extended his best wishes to Team India on Sunday ahead of their World Cup 2023 final clash against the five-time world champions, Australia.

Chhath, predominantly celebrated in states like Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh, involves fasting, ritual bathing in rivers, and offering prayers to express gratitude to the Sun God for the blessings of life on earth. Devotees seek the blessings of Goddess Chhathi Maiya and God Surya/Bhaskar (Sun) during this festival.

The belief is that sincere prayers and desires from the heart bring blessings. Throughout the fasting period, individuals consume only pure foods, and cleanliness is given utmost importance.
