IND vs BAN: First day's play of the Kanpur Test match between India and Bangladesh has been ended due to rain. Earlier the match was stopped because of poor light, and then the entire ground was covered due to rain. Time passed and the rain also intensified, due to which the first day's play has been declared over. Only 35 overs could be played on the first day, in which Bangladesh has scored 107 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.

While Bangladesh had a very bad start in the Kanpur Test as Zakir Hasan played 24 balls but could not score a single run. He was caught by Yashasvi Jaiswal off Akashdeep. Akashdeep dismissed Shadman Islam LBW shortly after that, Islam scored 24 runs. Indian captain Rohit Sharma brought in a spinner in the eighth over itself. Ashwin dismissed Bangladesh captain Nazmul Shanto on the first day of the Kanpur Test, which was his 420th wicket in Asia. Before him, Anil Kumble had taken a total of 419 wickets in Asia.

Rain in Kanpur, first day play ended

Test series between India and Bangladesh is being played at Green Park, Kanpur from Friday (September 27). Due to rain in Kanpur, the first day's play ended much before the scheduled time. Only 35 overs could be played on the first day.
