T20I series between India and South Africa

The toss was scheduled for 6:30 pm. However, heavy fog delayed the toss. An attempt was made to reschedule the match until 9:30 am, but the fog continued to increase. The umpires arrived on the field six times to try to restart the match. Rajiv Shukla also arrived. But even after 3:30 hours of effort, the match could not begin. Team India is leading the series 2-1. The match in Ahmedabad will now be crucial for the series.

Only 6 matches left before the World Cup

Less than two months remain for the T20 World Cup. The World Cup campaign begins on February 7th. Team India has only six T20 matches left before that: one against South Africa and the remaining five against New Zealand. The cancellation of this match is a major setback for India's preparations for the T20 World Cup.

Gill also injured

With the cancellation of this match, another bad news for India came from Lucknow. The team's vice-captain and struggling member of the team, Shubman Gill, has been injured again. He has suffered a leg injury. This is the second time in a month that Gill has been injured. He had previously suffered a neck injury in the Kolkata Test against South Africa, which ruled him out of the Test and ODI series. He made his return in the T20 series, but his bat remained silent.
