The prime minister also
spoke highly of the steps India has taken in support of academic
endeavors and business creation.

“I’m thrilled to
have the chance to talk to such bright and imaginative young people. The NSF is
collaborating with India on multiple projects. Also, he expressed his gratitude
to First Lady Jill Biden for her hard work in putting together this event, Modi
remarked.

Modi emphasized the
importance of education, skill, and innovation in ensuring a prosperous future
for India’s youth as he outlined the government’s skilling programme.

Education and training
have become one under the NEP (National Education Policy). More than 50 million
people are being trained under the Skilling Mission, and another 15 million are
receiving training on the latest and emerging technologies like artificial
intelligence & blockchains, Modi stated during a recent speech.

He said, that for India
and the US, it is significant to ensure a pipeline of talent and that he hopes
this decade would be remembered as the “tech decade” because of the
technological advances it has generated.
