Indian hockey team Won Asian Champions Trophy title for 5th time, defeated China in its own home

India Vs China Hockey Final: Today Indian hockey team added new feather in his cap, they have created history by winning its fifth title in the Asian Champions Trophy. While the Indian team defeated China 1-0 in its own house. This match played  in Hulunbuir of China. Earlier, the team defeated South Korea 4-1 in the second semi-final to make it to the final.

Defeated China in its own home

Though Indian hockey team has created history Won Asian Champions Trophy title for a record 5th time. Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Singh, the Indian hockey team has won the title by making a splash in the Asian Champions Trophy 2024. In the final match, the Indian team faced China today.

Tough competition between the teams

While India had to sweat to win this match. But in the end the team won 1-0. In the meanwhile only goal for the Indian team was scored by defender Jugraj Singh in the 10th minute of the fourth quarter. Earlier in the match, there was a tough competition between the two teams. The first three quarters were tied 0-0 without any goal. But in the fourth quarter, Jugraj scored the match winning goal and won the title for the country.

Finals are held in Hulunbuir

Earlier, the Indian team made it to the final by defeating South Korea 4-1 in the second semi-final. Secondly, China's hockey team reached the final of the Asian Champions Trophy for the first time. But it missed out on winning the title.

Team India won the title maximum 5 times

Hockey team has won the Asian Champions Trophy title maximum 5 times in history. While the first season of the men's hockey Asian Champions Trophy was played in 2011. Then the Indian team won the title by defeating Pakistan. After this, the Indian team has also won the 2013, 2018 and 2023 seasons. In 2018, the Indian team was the joint winner with Pakistan.

Indian hockey team didn’t lose a single match this time

The team captained by Harmanpreet Singh, reached the final by winning 6 matches in a row. After this, it also won the final. The Indian team had won all its five matches in the pool stage and was the only team to remain undefeated in the current season of the tournament.
