Indian Railways will run the fully reserved Patna-New Delhi Special Vande Bharat Express for a total of six trips in response to the increased demand during the festive season.

Indian Railways had previously announced 283 special trains for festivals like Diwali and Chhath Puja.

During the festival season, 4,480 trips will be made by the special trains, according to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

According to Deepak Kumar, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Northern Railways, the Vande Bharat Expres train, number 02252, which is going to travel from New Delhi to Patna Junction, will leave at 7:25 AM and arrive in Patna at 7:00 PM that same evening. The dates of this exclusive service are November 11, 14, and 16.

On November 12, 15, and 17, the reservation-based Train number 02251, also known as the Vande Bharat train, will depart from Patna Junction and return to New Delhi.

The fare for the AC Chair Car coach from New Delhi (NDLS) to Patna (PNBE) on the special Vande Bharat Express, which runs between New Delhi and Patna with train numbers 02252/02251, is Rs.2355, while the fare for the AC Executive Chair Car coach is Rs.4410.

In the meantime, the Eastern Central Railway will run 42 trains during the festival season, with a maximum of 512 trips, and the Western Railway will run 36 trains, with a maximum of 1,262 trips, according to Indian Railways.

The Railway Board has advised railway zones to direct their ticket-checking staff to confirm passengers' identities with legitimate, approved documentation in order to verify their authenticity.

In a previous press release, the Ministry of Railways stated that Special Trains would link important locations throughout the nation on railway routes such as Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Danapur-Saharsa, Danapur-Bengaluru, Ambala-Saharsa, Muzaffarpur-Yesvantpur, Puri-Patna, Okha-Naharlagun, Sealdah-New Jalpaiguri, Kochuveli-Bengaluru, Benaras-Mumbai, Howrah-Raxaul,, etc. Indian Railways had issued notifications for 2614 trips of 216 Puja Special trains in 2022.

The North Western Railway plans to oversee 24 trains, or 1,208 journeys, in an attempt to accommodate the increased demand for travel during the festive season.
