Israel-Hamas conflict: Gaza faces continuous bombardment
Israel has launched another round of airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip, following its formal declaration of war against the Palestinian Hamas group. The Israeli military has reported the mobilization of around 100,000 reserve soldiers near the Gaza border.
Both organizations in Gaza fired rockets into each other’s territory on the third day of a deadly battle that has killed over 1,100 people, including children.

The worst escalation in the Israel-Palestine conflict in decades saw Hamas launch a major missile attack as well as ground, air, and sea activity. Israel responded with air strikes across the Gaza Strip.
Intense clashes are ongoing in several areas of southern Israel, where Hamas fighters are engaged with Israeli forces. These areas include Karmia, a kibbutz, as well as the cities of Ashkelon and Sderot.
The current death toll stands at 413 Palestinians, as reported by health officials, while media sources have indicated that over 700 Israelis have been affected.
Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad have confirmed that they are holding more than 130 individuals as captives within Gaza.
Hamas initiated its unexpected attack following Israeli settlers' recent incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and a surge in Palestinian casualties caused by Israeli actions in recent months.
