Jaishankar on Seized Ship by Iran: Indian External Affairs minister S. Jaishankar has spoken to the Iranian Counterpart Amir Abdollahian regarding the presence of 17 Indian nationals on the container vessel seized by Iranian forces.
When the Indian minister spoke to the Foreign Minister of Iran regarding the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, he raised the issue of 17 Indians onboard on the MSC Aries ship which was seized by Iran.
Iran has agreed to allow Indian officials to soon meet with the 17 Indian crew members who were detained by the Irani forces. External Affairs minister S. Jaishankar spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian on Sunday regarding Iran's aerial attack on Israel.
Iran's attack on Israel
Iran called the aerial attack as the response to the attack on it's embassy in Syrian capital Damascus. The two minister discussed the issue with S. Jaishankar raising the issue of 17 Indian nationals who were crew members on MSC ship. The Indian minister also stressed on the importance of diplomacy and avoiding escalation.

The Iranian foreign ministry said that the foreign minister Dr Amir Abdollahian has mentioned in the conversation with Indian Ministers that there are following up the details on the detained ship and the possibility of Indian representative meeting 17 Indian nationals onboard. The Indian minister also shared concern over he current situation and said that they will continue to stay in touch.
On Saturday April 13, Iran launched unprecedent attack on Israel by launched hundred of drone and missile launches at the country. Iran's Iron Dome system protected the country for approx. 300 launches aimed at the country. Iran launched this attack as a retaliatory attack on it's embassy. After the attack, Iran said that the matter should be deemed as over after the aerial attack. The country also warned USA to stay out of the matter. A number of countries condemned the attack by Iran.
