J&K assembly elections: BJP released sixth list for the Valley elections, Muslim faces candidates got ticket
J&K assembly elections: Two days back the Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the Sankalp Patra of Bharatiya Janata Party. While today BJP released its sixth list of candidates for the J&K assembly elections However there are a total of 10 names in this list, out of which five are Muslim candidates.

BJP released list of candidates for the assembly elections. There are a total of 10 names in this list, out of which five are Muslim candidates. The party has fielded Dr Bharat Bhushan from the Kathua assembly seat. However the party has not given ticket to senior leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta from his Gandhi Nagar seat. BJP has given ticket to Vikram Randhawa on this seat, while Muslim candidates, Idris Karnahi from Karnah, Ghulam Mohammad Mir from Handwara, Abdul Rashid Khan from Sonawari, Naseer Ahmed Lone from Bandipora, Fakir Mohammad Khan from Gurez have been given tickets. Apart of other candidates, R.S. Pathania has been fielded from Udhampur East, Dr. Bharat Bhushan from Kathua, Rajiv Bhagat from Bishnah.
Assembly election seats in this region
Total number of seat in assembly of Jammu and Kashmir is 90, however 47 seats are in Kashmir and 43 seats are in Jammu region. Talking about before delimitation, there used to be 87 seats till the 2014 elections, out of which 37 seats were in Jammu and 46 seats in Kashmir. There were four seats in Ladakh as well. After the change in the status of the state, Ladakh has become a separate Union Territory. After the delimitation six seats have increased in Jammu and one seat in Kashmir.

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that that the status of the state will be restored. There should be no confusion regarding this, the BJP released the names of a total of 10 people, which includes 5 Muslim candidates, for the valley assembly election.
