J&K Encounter: Rajouri Encounter with terrorists at 3 places, Chinese grenad in Poonch, terrorist killed in Kupwara
Encounter J&K: From last night an encounter between terrorists and security forces in three districts of Jammu and Kashmir Rajouri, Kupwara and in Poonch district, while terrorist incidents have increased in Jammu in the few months, after which the security forces are completely in alert mode. There have been many encounters with terrorists here. However, the army has foiled the failed plans of the terrorists and started an operation against them. The encounter started late night of Wednesday in Khedi Mohra Lathi and Danthal areas of Rajouri. While Security forces have surrounded the area. In Kupwara, security forces have foiled infiltration attempts on the Line of Actual Control.
In Kupwara one terrorist killed
As by the sources the Army soldiers said that there might be two groups of infiltrating terrorists, each group consisting of 2 to 3 terrorists. Search operations are in process to locate them; However, the operation is facing difficulties due to bad weather. The Army has said that intelligence input was received about infiltration on LoC. After the report the Indian Army and J&K Police conducted a joint operation on 28-29 August. This operation was conducted in Tangdhar. Information has been received about one terrorist being killed. The operation is currently underway. while three terrorists suspected to be hiding in Rajouri. The local Police said that on August 28 at 9.30 pm, security forces started a search operation in the areas of Khedi Mohra Lathi and Danthal area. During this, contact with the terrorists was established at around 11.45 am. Then firing started between terrorists and security forces near Khedi Mohra area. Sources have said that intermittent firing took place in the area till 6 am
Grenade made in China Poonch sector
There is one more encounter has also taken place between army personnel and terrorists in Poonch. However, army has got success in the encounter in Sindhra, in the while army has recovered 6 grenades made in China after the encounter with the terrorists. At present, they have been taken into their possession. It is believed that these weapons would have been given to Pakistan through China, after which the security forces are completely on alert mode. There have been encounters with terrorists here many times. This operation was conducted in Tangdhar. Information has been received about killing of one terrorist. The operation is currently underway.
Terrorists hiding in Rajouri
Jammu and Kashmir Police has said that on August 28 at 9.30 pm, security forces started a search operation in the areas of Khedi Mohra Lathi and Danthal area. During this, contact with the terrorists was established at around 11.45 am. Then firing started between terrorists and security forces near Khedi Mohra area. Sources have said that intermittent firing took place in the area till 6 am. Two to three terrorists are suspected to be hiding. At present, the area has been cordoned off. The operation is currently underway
