Karnataka: Rape case registered against Rajarajeshwari Nagar BJP MLA Munirathna
Karnataka: A case of rape and sexual harassment has been registered against Rajarajeshwari Nagar BJP MLA Munirathna. While the incident took place at a private resort. The case has been registered at Kaggalipura police station in Ramnagar district.

As by the complaint, this rape was happened at private resort under, which comes in limits of Kaggalipura police station in Karnataka. All though FIR has been registered against seven people including MLA Munirathna.
Accused Muniratna is already in police custody
The MLA is already in judicial custody in another case of threatening, abusing and assaulting a contractor. However the police arrested Munirathna on 14 September. He is in judicial custody till 30 September.
Munirathna threatened a Dalit contractor
BJP MLA Munirathna is accused of threatening a Dalit contractor Chelvaraju with death, using casteist abusive language and demanding bribe. Two cases were registered against the MLA at Vyalikaval police station on 13 September. The MLA had first demanded 20 lakh rupees from the contractor for the solid waste disposal contract. Though Contractor had released an audio clip of this incident.
2 FIRs have been registered against the MLA
According to the police officer, two FIRs have been registered against the MLA Muniratna. One of these has been lodged by a contractor and the other by a municipal councilor.

MLA had released a video
In the meanwhile BJP MLA said, till now no allegation put on me in last 15 years. While Muniratna has released a video and said - For the last 15 years, no such allegation has been made by any contractor or the public that I have used abusive language. However BJP MLA Muniratna also said this a conspiracy hatched against me. I never done anything wrong in my life, but after the Lok Sabha elections results. Some people are behind me and putting false allegation.
